Key Highlights

  • Short-form food content drove performance: The strongest content used food cravings, simple visuals, product visibility, and daily-use occasions to create stronger platform-native appeal.
  • Facebook became a strong click-generation platform: Facebook generated strong traffic performance, including 107,348 views, 85,873 viewers, and 7,785 link clicks in April.
  • WhatsApp became the strongest lead channel: WhatsApp generated 38 of the 69 total enquiry leads, making it the priority channel for lead nurturing and conversion.
  • Paid boosting improved visibility: Meta Ads and TikTok Promote helped increase reach, impressions, video views, and profile traffic.

The Story

DB Studio Africa supported MixGo Kenya with social media management across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp during the March–April 2026 reporting period. The work focused on short-form food content, product visibility, paid boosting, platform-native execution, link-click growth, and lead generation through WhatsApp, Instagram DM, and Facebook DM. The goal was to help MixGo build stronger early market traction and convert growing social media awareness into measurable customer enquiries and retail sales opportunities.

The Challenge

MixGo needed to grow awareness and product interest across multiple social platforms while encouraging customers to take measurable action. The brand had early traction across TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, but the challenge was that awareness was growing faster than conversion tracking. The report also showed that platform-level conversion tracking was incomplete, especially when connecting TikTok and Meta clicks to actual enquiries, WhatsApp conversations, retail store visits, and sales. Another challenge was content quality. Some weaker content was too static, had low movement, weak first-three-second hooks, low retention, and unclear conversion prompts.

Our Solution

The solution was to focus on content formats that were simple, visual, product-led, and platform-native. DB recommended that MixGo repeat the stronger short-form content formats and reduce reliance on static designs. The stronger direction was to create more animated short videos, product-led reels, and food-craving content with better movement, clearer hooks, and stronger conversion prompts. DB also recommended building a stronger WhatsApp sales flow because WhatsApp was the strongest lead channel.
